Robert D. Voogt, Ph.D., C.R.C., received his doctoral degree from the University of Michigan in 1978. As President of Robert Voogt & Associates, Inc, he is a rehabilitation specialist in private practice. He has worked extensively throughout the United States and overseas, developing programs primarily for individuals who sustained traumatic brain injuries and other catastrophic injuries. Additionally, he has built and is managing residential neurological rehabilitation facilities in Louisiana and in Virginia. Dr. Voogt’s programs focus on mitigating the catastrophic results of traumatic brain injury. The emphasis is placed on retraining the brain to regain lost executive function, memory, and cognitive skills. Dr. Voogt’s rehabilitation programs are designed to allow the individuals to achieve their highest possible level of functioning. His practice has taken him around the United States and internationally to develop plans and programs for individuals in their local communities. He has lectured extensively and publishes articles in peer-reviewed journals. In 2000, he was honored with an invitation from the Vatican and presented a State-of-the-Art lecture for the Pope’s Jubilee 2000. Dr. Voogt continues to serve on a variety of boards. He was the Chairman of the International Brain Injury Association (IBIA), and is the founder and president of the North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS). At this time, Dr. Voogt is developing programs designed to care for individuals who have been diagnosed with Alzheimers/dementia. Key to the structure of theses programs will be the experiential center. Dr. Voogt, his wife, and their two children live in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Hector Gutierrez, CBIT, has been managing brain injury facilities since 1976. Mr. Gutierrez has been directly involved in managing brain injury programs for 32 years (including 23 years as the Clinical Director for Tangram Rehabilitation Network). Mr. Gutierrez is supported by a talented team of brain injury professionals with over 200 years of experience. This team of professionals has managed over 20 programs across the United States and Canada. He was involved in helping to develop the only nationally recognized training program for brain injury professionals, AACBIS.
